Important dates

Method of Submission

All abstracts must be submitted only via the online form, which can be accessed after a submitter has created a new user account with an e-mail address and password.
Authors will be notified about the receipt of their abstract by e-mail immediately. If you have not received a confirmation within 24 hours, please check your spam folder, and after this contact abstract@cd-cc.si.
Authors will have access to their abstracts until the deadline, and will have the possibility to edit abstracts with draft status, or submit new ones. If you need to correct your abstract before the submission deadline, after abstract was submitted you can contact the following email address abstract@cd-cc.si.
All correspondence concerning the abstract will be sent to the submitting author’s e-mail address.

Abstract language and format

  • Abstracts must be written in clear English. Correct grammar use and spelling are author's responsibility. 
  • Title: Make the title of the abstract brief under 35 words and it should be written in sentence case (do not capitalize every word or write the whole title in CAPS look).
  • The abstracts’ body may not exceed a maximum of 400 words.
  • The use of tables, figures or references is not allowed.

Other important considerations:

  • Research work or parts of research that have not yet been published or accepted for publication are eligible.
  • Abstracts will be reviewed by members of the Scientific Committee or appointed reviewers.
  • The reviewers will only consider abstracts with at least one of its authors fully registered to attend the FOODMicro2026 by 19 June, 2026.

Instructions for Poster Preparation

  • Posters must be brought to the Conference by the presenting author and should not be mailed in advance.
  • The required dimensions of posters are 95 cm (width) by 140-180 cm (height).
  • Please state the title, the authors and their affiliations at the top of the poster in bold lettering of about 2.5 to 3 cm size.
  • Artwork and lettering should be large and clear enough to ensure reading from a distance of 1.5 m.
  • Participants will view posters during coffee and lunch breaks. Presenters are encouraged to be available for further information at their posters during coffee breaks and lunches, but this is not mandatory.
